Select the correct microphone and camera source from the Device Setup menu.

Check the Troubleshooting menu for additional information.

How will my first session work?

Here's a quick guide on how your first session will work.

Can I prep a lesson beforehand?

You can prepare a lesson beforehand, in fact, we recommend it. Here's how you get ready for your lessons with LessonSpace.

How do you use a stylus on the whiteboard?

To connect the tablet to LessonSpace and begin writing or drawing on the whiteboard, follow these steps:

  • Connect the tablet and follow the setup instructions. Then, on LessonSpace, begin writing with the draw or pen tool.

  • If you have an iPad, share the Classroom link with it and join from there. Mute the iPad if you're using it as a secondary screen (i.e. you're also logged in from a computer). It may be used with a stylus pen or an Apple pencil.

Joining LessonSpace on a tablet

You can join a LessonSpace from any device given you fulfil our browser and network requirements.

Some tools will look different on your tablet device, but the Classroom closely matches the features of our desktop version of LessonSpace.

What do I need to use LessonSpace?

The only things needed to have an online lesson with LessonSpace are:

  • A tablet, laptop or desktop computer with a microphone (internal or external), and a webcam (4GB of RAM).

  • A reliable internet connection.

  • The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Screen Sharing tab only on Firefox

Firefox by default doesn't support screen share for one browser tab only, however, this is a quick workaround.

I can't hear my student or my student can't hear me...

If you're having trouble with not hearing other participants in the classroom, or others can't hear you, here are a couple of tips you can try to troubleshoot:

My audio or video isn't working but it works on Zoom

If you have Zoom open and running on your desktop it will hijack your audio and video access.

  • Close Zoom and reload your classroom.

  • Sometimes closing Zoom will let the application run in the background, here's how to exit Zoom.

  • Enter the Lobby and set up your audio and video.

Graphics Tablet: How to map the area of your whiteboard

LessonSpace supports all graphics or pen tablets.

To map your tablet to the whiteboard screen size follow these steps.

How can I work with multiple students?

When having group sessions, it's really easy to manage and work with multiple students at the same time on the LessonSpace.

Why can't my student screen share?

If your student is having trouble screen-sharing, try asking them to enable screen-sharing permissions.

How to end a session?

When your lesson is finished, simply close the browser tab as you would with any other browser window by using the "x" icon.

How to test if my microphone is working?

If the other participant in your Classroom cannot hear you, but they are sure that their speaker is working as expected, you can check if you have a working microphone, here.

My student's audio is muffled...

Reload the Classroom on both your and the student’s side.

Use headphones. This can prevent the microphone from picking up any background noise. Your student can change their audio & microphone source in the Device Setup menu.

Try turning Advanced Noise Cancellation on or off. Sometimes the noise reduction picks up the speaker's voice as noise and filters it out if not close enough to the microphone.

How can I stop my students from making changes?

You as the Leader in the Classroom, can control when and who can make changes and edits on the whiteboards.

Requesting a recording of a lesson for LessonSpace?

Lesson recordings can be requested from tutor@teachme2.com or support@teachme2.com

You will need:

  1. Tutoring Plan Number

  • Close tabs and applications on your computer that use the internet.

  • Ask household members to reduce their internet usage (e.g., stop downloading or streaming videos).
