Can tutors reschedule lessons?

As most of you are aware, Teach Me 2 has made an adjustment to the process of rescheduling lessons by tutors. Tutors are no longer able to reschedule any lessons that have not already been paid for by the client. The crux of the matter is that we cannot pay out lessons that have not been properly credited to the system first.

How do lesson credits work?

Clients generally pay for lesson bundles on a month-to-month basis. This means that you will only be able to reschedule lessons that the client has already paid for. If the lessons are still unpaid, your option to reschedule the lessons will not be there.

For example, if a client has agreed to have 1 lesson per week with you, this means that they will pay for a total of 4 lessons per month. If you are finding that this is insufficient and you require two lessons per week, for example, you would need to chat with the Support Team so that they can contact the client and find out whether they are in agreement with your suggestion for more lessons.

Having lessons that are not on the lesson schedule:

We implore you not to conduct lessons that are not on the lesson schedule. If you are unable to reschedule a lesson and decide to conduct the lesson via Zoom, for example, you will lose out on payment for the lesson, as sadly, there is no way for Teach Me 2 to verify that the lesson did indeed take place.

​Note: If you would like to reschedule a lesson to a date that falls within the same week as the original lesson please do so via the Tutor Portal's "Edit" button. There is no need to contact the Support Team in order to action this. However, if the lesson needs to be rescheduled for a date further than 7 days from the originally scheduled lesson, please contact the Support Team so that they can make the necessary adjustments to the client's lesson schedule.

Please always aim to keep the lines of communication open between yourself and your clients. If you are unable to conduct a lesson, inform them of the reason and come to an agreed date and time to reschedule the lesson.

If the lesson is urgent (for example, the client has an exam the next day and will not be proceeding with lessons thereafter) and you are unable to reschedule it yourself, please phone us! The Support Team is always available to assist you, and within a few minutes, they will be able to make the necessary changes to your schedule for you.

If the lesson is not urgent, please contact the Support Team via email and let them know what lesson you would like to reschedule. Please include the original date and time and the date and time you and the client wish to move the lesson to.

Other Important Information:

- Please note that the Support Team assist both clients and tutors simultaneously. While it is always our goal to ensure premium service and fast response time, if you find you have not received a response, please let the client know and ensure that an alternative lesson slot will be arranged and communicated to them.
